Holy Emmanuel Street no longer a dirt road says Mayor Wagner

Belize City Mayor Bernard Wagner says that residents of Holy Emmanuel Street will no longer be plagued by dust in just a few weeks. The street is currently under construction after residents in the area called on the council to improve the street’s infrastructure. The road was previously unpaved and residents say the dust was affecting their health. Mayor Wagner says the council is now in the final stages of rehabilitating the street.

Bernard Wagner, Mayor of Belize City: “It’s not complete. That project is not complete. We have sidewalks to put in that area as well. So it’s not complete. We have provision there for sidewalks, we have provision there for a parking bay so to speak and we have provision there to ensure that we have some measure of greenery in that area.”
