Indigenous women are being celebrated on Women’s Day too

Belize is joining the rest of the international community in celebrating Women’s Day today. Activities in various spheres are being held to promote this year’s theme: DigitALL: Innovation and Technology for Gender Equality. For the women of Toledo District, this theme also supports the idea that indigenous women can be involved – and using technology advances their goals toward self-determination.
