Indigenous women continue to rise to the challenges of a modern world

The roles of women everywhere are changing – and Belize’s efforts to be part of that change include involving women in indigenous communities. That was the spirit of an event that happened yesterday in Toledo District, where Governor General Dame Froyla Tzalam outlined some of the challenges she faced as an indigenous woman. Senior Correspondent Paul Mahung was there and has the story.
