Khan will be free to work, start a business and hit the books…but with conditions

The U.S. representatives throughout this morning’s press briefing about Majid Khan repeated that the 42-year-old Pakistani man is not a security risk. For the foreseeable future, that status is not expected to change either. Instead, he’s expected to be a productive citizen with a fresh start. He may seek employment, he can start his own business and he’s also free to go back to school. However, while he will live freely, there will be stipulations, which means, he’s not to interact with certain people. Love News asked Minister Eamon Courtenay about that today.

While Khan will not be allowed to travel outside Belize, he will have internet access with his phone and laptop. Will that exposure to the World Wide Web have him reconnect with his former associates? Will it open the door for radicalisation again? Minister Courtenay says he does not expect that will be the case.
