Lab Techs Undergo Training to Prevent and Control Banana Disease

The International Cooperation Development Fund through the Embassy of the Taiwanese Embassy in Belize is carrying out a capacity-building exercise on the prevention and control of fusarium disease in bananas. The training is geared at strengthening the capacity of the laboratory technicians from the Belize Agricultural Health Authority in detecting the disease at its early stages. The manager of the Regional Fusarium Prevention and Control Project, Miguel Chen, says the project is being implemented in Belize, Guatemala and Honduras.
