Ladyville man killed by friend turned foe

Tonight, a family in Rural Belize is mourning the death of their loved one who was gunned down last night a stone’s throw away from the Ladyville Police Station. 21-year-old James Bainton and his brother were on their way home after a brawl at the Ladyville Sporting Complex when he was targeted. The shooting is believed to be the result of a beef among friends. Reporter Vejea Alvarez tells us more.

The police have since been able to locate the weapon they believe was used to kill Bainton. The Commissioner of Police, Chester Williams, says investigators are now hoping to detain the suspect and levy charges against him.
