Leader of Opposition claims new details in Laddie Gillet’s case are emerging

New shocking details in Laddie Gillett’s death are emerging, according to the Leader of the Opposition, Moses “Shyne” Barrow. The LOO claims that PC Claude Augustine, the cop who lied when he took the stand, was issued a gun license three months after Gillett was shot and killed. Interestingly, it was revealed in court that on the night Gillett was killed, Augustine possessed two firearms, one of which was said to be his personal weapon. Barrow is now questioning how Augustine, who is being investigated for perjury, could have possessed a gun, which was gifted to him by an ex-pat, without a gun license.

 Moses “Shyne” Barrow, Leader of the Opposition:”It is alleged that remember there were several officers involved in the manslaughter of Laddie Gillett may his soul rest in peace but only one was charged. But according to the court testimony the accused or the convicted his lawyer is saying that it was Mr.Augustine that also fired a shot and it is possible that it is his weapon. But hear this, go and look at the registry, he did not have a license to have a weapon at the time of this incident. Look at the registry. You will see that he got a license two months later. So what kind of operation is the Commissioner of Police dealing with right ? What is his priority ? What is his focus ? How irresponsible is that that someone will be involved in a crime that rocked the nation, made absolutely no sense, obviously in need of training. I hear he is one of the hand picked police officers that doesn’t have to go through training and they get their badge number from the Commissioner, allegedly, but that he would give him a license two months later. So the Commissioner has no moral authority to speak when it comes to anything relating to crime which is why it’s time for him to go. The criminals don’t respect him. The stakeholders don’t respect him. His own police department does not respect him.”
