Legal practitioners expand knowledge of the original CCJ jurisdiction

Judges and other officers within Belize’s legal system are participating in a two-day workshop in Belize City. It’s dubbed the Inaugural Referral Workshop Series and it is the product of a partnership of the Caribbean Court of Justice, the CCJ Academy and the Supreme Court of Belize. Participants are expected to derive a better understanding of the referral obligation of the original jurisdiction of Belize’s highest court. Over the next couple of days, participants will examine various topics. Dale McDougall has the following report.
