Man charged for the murder of Freddy Chicas

A teenager from Ladyville Village has been charged with the murder of 21-year-old Freddy Chicas. He is 18-year-old Bevan Curtis Alford. (VO STARTS) The teen is accused of killing Chicas, who vanished on March 5 from his home in the Mile 8 community. On March 10, a search party comprised of Chicas’ family and friends discovered his decomposing body on a feeder road off the George Price Highway. Chicas had sustained one gunshot to the head. A motive behind the murder is yet to be established.
