Minister of Health and Wellness visits KHMH for Nurses Week opening ceremony

Minister of Health and Wellness paid a special visit to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital (KHMH) this morning.  Whilst at the facility, Minister Kevin Bernard attended mass with the nurses and was able to address the gathering.  His visit comes as Nurses Week opens today.

Kevin Bernard, Minister of Health and Wellness: “We had a church service and we also opened the Nurse week for the nurses so I was there to celebrate the opening of nurses week with the nurses at KHMH. It as a very joyous and of course they had awards for outstanding performance of nurses that are working at KHMH and this whole week we’re gonna be focusing on the nurses. We have on Thursday the Ministry of Health and Wellness is doing its awards and recognition program as well and we know the Nursing Association of Belize will also have their event on Friday culminating the entire week of Nurses Week.”
