The Ministry of Agriculture has appointed a new task force for the shrimp industry. The task force’s core function is to address the current challenges the industry is facing and forge a way for advancements. For the next three months, the eight members of the task force will conduct assessments and submit their recommendations to the Minister of Agriculture, Jose Abelardo Mai, who will then take the recommendations to Cabinet for evaluation. Minister Mai says that they are currently focusing on broadening Belize’s reach in the regional shrimp market.
