Ministry of Health and Wellness Continues HPV Vaccine Drive in Schools

The Ministry of Health and Wellness is advising parents and guardians that nurses are currently visiting schools countrywide to administer the Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) Vaccine. The vaccine is given to Standard 4 students. The vaccine is also available for Standard 5 and 6 students who may not have received their vaccine in 2020, 2021, or 2022. The ministry says that the HPV vaccine protects against different cancers and warts. Parents are reminded that they need to review and submit a signed consent form before the child is administered the vaccine. Vaccines are also available at all our health centers countrywide.
