Ministry of Public Utilities and Energy Launches new Women in Renewable Energy Chapter, Awards Five Women

The Ministry of Public Utilities and Energy is working to increase the number of women working in Belize’s renewable energy sector. Today, the ministry established a chapter of the international organization “Women in Renewable Energy” (WIRE) and awarded five women working in the energy sector. The group will be working with international experts in renewable energy to gain knowledge and experience in the field. The ministry’s Energy Director, Ryan Cobb, explained the importance of the project.
