Ministry of Public Utilities collaborating to improve Belize’s infrastructure

And, while the Ministry of Public Utilities, Energy, Logistics and E-Governance has been collaborating to bring light to the village of Indian Creek, Minister Michel Chebat noted that there is much more being done under his portfolio.

blankMichel Chebat, Minister of Public Utilities, Energy, Logistics and E-Governance: “In my ministry we are not only dealing with electricity and water we also deal with something called E-Governance. And E-governance is about communication, it is about the internet and we’re hoping that not in the long future we can come and establish a computer lab here for you so that your children can learn but even you as adults can learn because it is important now. As you look around this room everybody has a cellphone, everybody is recording right ? And so that is the new means of communication, that is how we keep in touch, that is how we do business, it is how we live these days.”
