MOHW Says Covid Numbers Remain Stable

The Ministry of Health and Wellness (MOHW) continues to monitor the Covid-19 stats. The recent data recorded from February 7 to February 13 reported twenty-four new confirmed cases with a one point twenty-six positivity rate. Fortunately, no deaths have been reported. The Ministry’s Director of Public Health and Wellness, Dr. Melissa Diaz-Musa, says that the ministry is also turning its focus on other diseases that have surfaced and are trying to mitigate the spread.

Dr.Melissa Diaz, Director, Public Health and Wellness, Ministry of Health and Wellness: “The COVID numbers yes we have been monitoring, we continue to monitor our hospitals. We have no admissions currently for COVID-19 and our numbers have gone down. Our positivity rate for the last two to three weeks have not gone above 5 so that is the indication that we have controlled the last outbreak. We do know that public health measures have been lifted and at this point we’re trying to move back into looking at other diseases both infectious and chronic disease and trying to better manage these diseases as best as possible.
