Mother of Five Charged with Using Deadly Means of Harm, Granted Bail

Tonight, a mother of five is out on bail after she allegedly stabbed and hospitalized her common-law husband. 32-year-old Marilyn Roches appeared in the Belize City Magistrate’s court after allegedly attacking her partner, Shemmar Bowen, in the abdomen. Roches was charged with using deadly means of harm and was granted bail in the sum of one thousand two hundred dollars. The charges stem from an incident on Monday where the pair was involved in a domestic dispute. According to police, around 9:30, Bowen and Roches were at their home in Ladyville when they began to argue. The couple’s quarrel escalated to a physical altercation and the two wound up outside their apartment complex where Bowen was stabbed.
