Motorcyclist dies after being rear-ended by passenger bus

Another motorcyclist lost his life over the weekend in the Toledo District. According to police, Roberto Reymundo was travelling on the Southern Highway near Bella Vista Village when he was rear-ended by a passenger bus. Reymundo fell to the pavement and later succumbed to his injuries while receiving treatment at the Southern Regional Hospital. Assistant Commissioner of Police, Hilberto Romero, shared additional details with the media. 

ACP Hilberto Romero, Officer Commanding Eastern Division: “Upon their arrival they saw a James bus parked on the road and there was also a motorcycle with a male person with severe head and body injuries. The person was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival. Investigation revealed that the deceased, Roberto Reymundo, was riding his motorcycle when he was struck from behind by a James bus. The driver was detained and an investigation is being carried out at this time.”
