New National Gender Policy Aims to Tackle Domestic Violence from Its Roots

The newly revised National Gender Policy is going to be implemented over ten years. President of the National Women’s Commission, Thea-Garcia Ramirez, says that the revised policy aims to tackle the rampant problem of gender-based violence before it even escalates to a physical altercation. She says that they are also putting the focus on males by providing them with counselling and education to make sure that they don’t go down a violent path.
