Palm Tree Plantations Discovered in Adjacency Zone

Reports reaching our newsroom are that the thousands of palm trees have been found within the adjacency zone on Belize’s side.  According to our source, there is an estimated 40 acres of land being used for palm trees near the Cadenas area; fifteen acres are reportedly on Belize’s side of the zone while the other estimated thirty acres are on the Guatemalan side.  Love News understands that members of the Belize Defence Force began destroying the trees yesterday and will continue to do so in the coming days.  Best information at this time, is that the trees are being grown to produce palm oil in commercial quantities.
