Parts of Belize City being devoured by Caribbean Sea

Climate Change continues to affect the country. We’ve reported on several coastal communities where rising sea levels have caused significant erosions. Tonight we report on another location. This time in Belize City. Parts of the Yarborough Community are being devoured by the sea. This has caused significant distress among residents because their lands are being washed away before their eyes. Mayor Bernard Wagner spoke on the matter.

Mayor Wagner says that the council recognizes the significant impacts that the effects of climate change continue to have on countries like this. He says that fifty-million-dollar project is being created to help mitigate the effects of climate change, especially in coastal communities.
