
PM Briceno Attends World Climate Industry Expo Leaders’ Summit in South Korea

Prime Minister John Briceno left the country yesterday for Busan, South Korea. He will be attending the World Climate Industry Expo 2023 Leaders’ Summit. The Leaders’ Summit forms a part of the expo, and will see discussions on addressing climate change issues in the maritime sector. The agenda for the Leaders’ Summit also includes two sessions for Saturday on Ocean Conservation for Climate Change and Carbon Free Shipping towards Better Ocean. The theme for the World Expo 2023 is, ‘Transforming our World, Navigating toward a Better Future.’ Prime Minister Briceno is accompanied by Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Trade and Immigration, Eamon Courtenay, and Dr. Osmond Martinez, Chief Executive Officer in the Ministry of Economic Development. The delegation is expected back in the country on Monday, May 29. Holding over the prime ministerial post is Deputy Cordel Hyde.
