Police Commissioner lashes out at Leader of the Opposition

The Commissioner of Police, Chester Williams, has taken another shot at the Leader of the Opposition, Moses “Shyne” Barrow, criticizing the LOO’s leadership skills. The United Democratic Party (UDP) is calling for a moratorium to be placed on the issuing of gun licenses and a review of persons who qualify for firearm licenses. The party claims that there is an apparent sharp increase in issuing of licenses. However, ComPol Williams says it is absolute hogwash and says the call is ironic coming from the UDP, who did nothing about the issue during their tenure in government.

ComPol Williams also stated that there is a need for the public to arm themselves given the increase of criminals obtaining illegal firearms.
