Raymond Mejia Found Guilty of Murder in Belize City

While Martinez was released today with a not guilty verdict, 23-year-old, Raymond Mejia was not so fortunate.  He was found guilty for a robbery that led to murder in November 2018.  Mejia is one of three men who were charged for the incident; the other two being 25-year-old, Glen Berkman and 22-year-old, Tyrique Myles.  Both Berkman and Myles are awaiting sentencing after pleading guilty to manslaughter.  The incident had created a scene when the trio went to rob Belcove Hotel in downtown Belize City.  The cops responded quickly and were able to detain the men, but not before the Mejia shot and killed Police Officer, Osborne Martinez.
