Road accident in Forest Home, Toledo sends two to the hospital

Two people had to be hospitalised following a road traffic incident last night in southern Belize. It happened at around 9:30 between Miles 96 and 97 on the Southern Highway in Forest Home Village Toledo. 39-year-old Josephine Crawford was driving a silver Toyota Corolla, heading towards Punta Gorda Town. It is reported that she lost control of the car and it ended up off the right side of the road. It then flipped, with its four wheels up in the air. First responders came to Crawford’s aid – and that of her passenger, 61-year-old William Faux. Crawford had pain in her body and a cut wound under her chin. Both persons were admitted to the Punta Gorda Hospital for observation. At the time of the accident, Love News understands the weather was favourable but the area was dark and traffic flow was minimal.
