Road accidents in Spanish Lookout happen in short succession this morning

This morning, the community of Spanish Lookout in the Cayo District was the scene of two road accidents this morning. The first happened at around 6:45 this morning. Two people were on a motorcycle traveling south on Centre Avenue near its intersection with 30th Street. It is reported that a cab driver failed to adhere to a stop sign and just drove right across the road in front of them. Both people were flung from the motorcycle several feet. They were taken to the Western Regional Hospital for treatment. The second incident happened at around 9:00 a.m. on the very same Centre Street, but this time with its intersection with 40th Street, near the community’s town hall. Reports to Love News are that a black SUV, driving East along 40th Street drove right through a Stop sign on Center Avenue crashing into a three-wheeler that was traveling north. The person on the three-wheeler motorcycle were also flung from their vehicle and unto the highway in front of the SUV. That person was also taken to the Western Regional Hospital for treatment. Ronny Plett, who is in charge of traffic safety in the community, made this appeal to drivers to observe the traffic rules.
