Saint Joseph Primary R.C School has a new playground

The students of Saint Joseph Primary R.C. School in Belize City now have a brand new playground to enjoy when they are outside the classroom. Today, the Rotary Club of Belize Sunrise along with their partners from the Edmonton Rotary Club of Alberta Canada, donated a playground to the school. The jungle gym set, which includes monkey bars and a slide, was built over a two-day period by a group of local and foreign volunteers. President of the Rotary Club of Belize Sunrise, Iselma Sosa Martinez, spoke about the significance of the donation and how it came to fruition.

Principal of Saint Joseph R.C School, Claudia Avilez, expressed gratitude to the Rotary Clubs and explained that the playground will allow the students to remain active during their recess and lunch breaks.
