After two years of having their increments frozen, the public sector workers and teachers will now see its restoration. The Ministry of Finance announced this morning that under the provisions of Statutory Instrument No. 48 of 2023, the payment of annual Salary Increments resumes with effect from 1 April. The Ministry notes that qualifying officers are required to submit duly completed Performance Appraisal Report Forms for the payment of one increment with effect from their respective incremental date. The increments were frozen in 2020 due to the economic blow the country’s economy felt because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
