Second man arrested for murder of Sylvian Swift on Antelope Street

A second man has been nabbed by police for the murder of 30-year-old Sylvian Swift. Over the weekend, 19-year-old Christopher Pitts was arrested and charged with the crime of murder. The Belize City teen and 29-year-old Anthony Carballo, who was arraigned last week, were jointly charged with Swift’s murder. On Thursday, April 27, the men allegedly shot Swift dead while he was socializing at a home on Antelope Street. A motive behind the murder is yet to be established, but Swift had recently arrived from work and was a stone’s throw away from home when he was targeted.
