Shooting in rural Belize leaves one man hospitalized, suspect in custody

A shooting incident last night in rural Belize has left one man hospitalized. The gunshots rang out just before eight o’clock leaving 24-year-old, James Perry, with gunshot wounds to the left side of the hip.  Burrell Boom and Ladyville Police were able to respond to the call quickly, and intercepted a grey Chevy Equinox SUV with the suspected shooter and three other men.  Scenes of Crime personnel found an expended shell inside the vehicle, and two expended shells at the scene.  Perry has since been treated and released from the hospital.  Investigators are seeking one other suspect in this incident
