
Taiwan and Honduras have new ambassadors to Belize

Governor General Her Excellency Dame Froyla Tzalam today received the credentials of the new ambassadors to Belize from the Republic of China (Taiwan) and Honduras. The first to present credentials was Lily Li-Wen Hsu, the new Ambassador of the Republic of China (Taiwan). In her remarks, Ambassador Hsu spoke of Belize and Taiwan’s shared values and ideals of freedom and democracy, and aspirations to “promote the well-being of all peoples and maintain world peace.” She pledged to continue to promote both countries’ mutual interests and strengthen the strong relationship of cooperation and goodwill. Ambassador Nelson Merari Mejia of Honduras also presented his letters of credence. The new ambassador conveyed his hope for continued friendship, peace, and harmony between Belize and Honduras.
