The BPA launches an Officer’s Developmental Training

Today, the Belize Police Department launched an Officer’s Developmental Training at the Police Training Academy in Belmopan. The training is the first of its kind and is modelled after Jamaica’s junior and senior command course. The cops taking part in the two-week course are commanders of the various formations and regions. The goal of the initiative is to enhance the officer’s capabilities to increase the department’s overall proficiency in tackling crime. Senior Superintendent of Police, Leslie Waight the Department’s Director of Training, spoke about its importance.
