The DCN is leading the fight against misinformation in the Americas

Made famous by former US President Donald Trump, “fake news” it’s a term which is used to generalize misinformation and disinformation in the media. And, in the age of technology, fake news has become more mainstream and makes it harder to differentiate fact from fiction. This issue has led the Digital Communication Network (DCN), which is a network of media professionals and journalists, to launch a regional chapter of the Americas. After weeks of preparations, the inaugural event was held last week in San Jose, Costa Rica. Reporter Vejea Alvarez attended and tells us more.
