The NAMLC holds its first Anti-money Laundering and Combatting the Financing of Terrorism Conference

The Government of Belize is working with the public and private sectors to crack down on money laundering and counter-terrorist financing. The National Anti-Money Laundering Committee is holding a two-day conference to discuss measures aimed at preventing criminals and terrorists from abusing the financial system. The Committee is hoping to bolster Belize’s international efforts against money laundering, terrorist financing and financing the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction. Vejea Alvarez reports.
