The Public Sector Workers’ Trust steps into assist persons affected by Hurricane Lisa

About three weeks ago Hurricane Lisa battered the Belize District and left many citizens reeling from the damage it left behind. In its wake, various organizations stepped in to assist impacted persons, including the Public Sector Workers’ Trust. The organization has launched a food assistance program to aid members that were impacted by the hurricane. The trust recently conducted an online survey which showed that four in every ten of its members are also being affected by the ballooning cost of goods and services. Trustee of the Board, Dr Phillip Castillo, says that an estimated seven thousand persons are expected to benefit from the $350,000 program.
