Three Candidates Identified to Replace Dr Andre Sosa

 As we mentioned, Arun Hotchandani is the interim chairman of the KHMHA. We asked Minister Bernard if he anticipates that Hotchandani would shake up things at the KHMH, at least for a few days. 

Hon. Kevin Bernard, Minister of Health and Wellness: “March first is just a few days away and let me tell you something me and Mr.Hotchandani are good friends too and he respects my authority. I will give you one thing, one thing I will say this I serve as mayor for three terms and no one dared to cross my path in that direction so I don’t think we need to go there. At the end of the day what we want is to ensure that KHMH can ensure that we can bring it to a level where there is sustainability that’s what I believe in and that sustainability requires us to ensure that there is constant supplies, quality medication, staff improvement, better communication within the levels of management and staff and the union that is what I am here to look at. Mr.Arun has no ill intentions and he will continue to work closely he has been doing a – in fact as the vice chair he has continuously worked in assisting people at KHMH, working with the board, working with administration but he’s only there to hold over up until February 28th.” 

Reporter: How was he not able to assist Dr.Sosa if Dr.Sosa could have been the medical arm and then he could have been the financial arm and they could have worked in tandem to try to I don’t know work as one to see KHMH go forward ?

Hon. Kevin Bernard, Minister of Health and Wellness: “I won’t say that he has not been able to assist Dr.Sosa he has been assisting KHMH.”
