World Bank reps visit several Belize City communities

Staff members of the World Bank visited vulnerable communities in Belize City. Security Specialist for the Caribbean Region Keisha Gebre and Senior Country Officer Federico Baechli. They were accompanied by Deputy Commissioner of Police, Dr. Richard Rosado, Geovanni Brackett and staff from the Behaviour Modification Centre. The areas visited were the Lake Independence community, the Extension area, and the Krooman Community. The group had a frank and open discussion with the community members to discuss the causes and consequences of living in vulnerable communities and what their vision are for the area. The main goal of the visit was to gather data for the official visit by the World Bank delegation scheduled for today.
