The Young Women’s Christian Association (YWCA) has elected its new board of directors. At its AGM held on Thursday, the organisation also received reports and accepted audited financial statements and programmatic reports for 2020. The organisation says that 2020 was a challenging one, which saw it scaling back a number of its main programmes but also undertook new ones. This includes a major reusable/washable mask-making operation. The board comprises Jacqueline Santos-Locke as its president, Lurleen Betson-Gamboa at the first vice-president and Jennifer Smith as the second vice president. Sheryl Terry is the secretary; the treasurer is Denise Mahler and honorary treasurer is Marilyn Ordonez. Ambassador Diane Haylock is the general secretary and the directors are Nathida Alvarado, Leeann Garbutt, Leni Ysaguirre-McGann, Kelysha Usher, Janean Sabal, Kammie Enriquez, Phillipa Sebastian-Cadle, Margaret Williams, Dativa Martinez and Diana Forman. The organisation’s constitution mandates that a quarter of its board are young women under the age of 30.
